Exciting news: Sunday Open Gym at the High School has returned! We're reaching out to you, our valued district parents, for assistance in making this a successful program. We need 3-4 enthusiastic volunteers to help supervise the open gym sessions at the Elementary School on Sunday afternoons. This is a great opportunity to engage with the community and support our children's activities. Please remember that all volunteers will need to pass a background check. Elementary families- please remember to stop by the Book Fair in our NEW cafeteria during conferences. We will be open both this evening and Thursday evening for you to check out the fun items!

The Club Choice fundraiser items and prizes will be delivered to the elementary today, November 4th. Parents or guardians can come between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to pick these items up. Please enter through door H. Thank you all for making this fundraiser a success!

The Lake Park Audubon Elementary fall fundraiser starts today. All kindergarten through sixth grade students will bring home a fundraiser packet today. Students can sell in person or create an online account to send to family members and friends.

Good Morning LPA Families, We are thrilled to start the school year in our newly constructed and renovated building. ICS has put in tremendous effort to prepare the space, and we deeply appreciate their dedication. To ensure everything is ready for our students, we are postponing the first day of school for the elementary grades (Pre-K to 6th) to Monday, September 9th (preschool will start with parent class on Monday evening). However, the high school (7th to 12th Grade) will begin as scheduled on Tuesday, September 3rd. As a result of this change, we are rescheduling the Back to School Night for preschool through 6th grade to Thursday, September 5th. Please see below for additional details about our Back to School Open House. Kindergarten Families: Scheduled meetings will take place on September 3rd and 4th, and all kindergarteners will begin school on September 9th. Please check your email to schedule a meeting with your child’s teacher if you haven’t already done so. An email was sent out last week with more information. Back to School Open House When: September 5th, 2024 Who: All preschool to 6th Grade Families Where: Lake Park Audubon Elementary School 3:30-4:00 p.m. Ribbon Cutting (Open to the public) 4:00-7:00 p.m. Preschool to 5th Grade Open House 5:00-7:00 p.m. 5th Grade Band Sign-Up (Cafeteria/Commons) 4:00-4:15 p.m. 6th Grade Orientation Meeting in the South Gym 4:15-7:00 p.m. 6th Grade Open House Preschool students and their families are welcome to visit the preschool classrooms any time between 4:00 - 7:00 pm. Please click the link below to sign up for a time slot for the Kindergarten thru 5th grade open house. If the time you need is already full, feel free to come at that time anyway. The sign-up is meant to give teachers more individualized time with families, but we want to ensure everyone attends. Please attend the orientation meeting from 4:00 to 4:15 p.m. in the elementary South Gym, then visit the 6th grade teachers in their classrooms. If your child requires medication during school hours, please bring it to the open house or on the first day of school. Our school nurse will be available to collect medications and discuss any medical needs or concerns. All medications must be in their original labeled containers. Elementary students finished up Raider Academy by participating in Olympic inspired games created by the 5th and 6th graders. Over 75 students attended the two summer sessions. Students received books, brushed up on reading and math skills, and enjoyed time with classmates.
