Edit: The location for Tonight's Community Meeting will be in the Media Room upstairs in the High School. The meeting is in regard to the November Referendum. Parents and community members are invited to a community gathering to hear more about the school district's November vote. The meeting will be held in the Lake Park Audubon High School Media Center at 6 p.m.

Teachers and staff are essential to maintain smaller class sizes and enhance educational opportunites. We are currently hiring for a "Raider Care" After School Enrichment Program Supervisor. Qualifications: Clerical experience, computer skills, organizational skills. Experience working with students. Self-starter who can problem solve. Position Objectives: The Raider Care Supervisor is responsible for supervising all aspects of the after-school care program's daily operations. Tasks consist of mentoring and collaborating with the Program Group Leader(s)/Group Assistant(s) to create a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for all children at all times. The Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day operations, such as maintaining accurate records, ensuring implementation of supervision policies, guiding the conduct of children, planning, and delivering activities, and supervising staff. Specific Responsibilities: A. Maintain records of student information, fees, and attendance B. Prepare and collect all enrollment, medical, emergency, waiver forms and input information into program management system. C. Record days and hours of student attendance. D. Prepare purchase requisitions when needed. E. Plan student activities, snacks, study time. F. Supervise students. G. Maintain After School room and storage. H. Work with Food Service Director to stay in compliance with State snack rules. I. Perform other duties as assigned. September 20 Community Meeting on November Referendum Parents and community members are invited to a community meeting on Wednesday, September 20 to learn more about the school district’s November referendum. The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. in the Lake Park Audubon High School Theatre. The district is proposing an operating levy increase that would provide an additional $450,000 over the next 10 years. If approved by voters, the funds would be used to attract and retain quality teachers and staff to help the district maintain small class sizes and enhance educational opportunities for all students. Dr. Tim Godfrey, Superintendent of Lake Park Audubon Schools, will provide a short presentation on the referendum and respond to questions from community members. The presentation will include information on the challenges the district is facing, the proposed plan to address them, the cost and tax impact of the plan, and how residents can make their voice heard by voting on this important community decision. Our district's goal is to provide community members with the information they need to make an informed decision on or before November 7. We encourage you to attend the community meeting. At Lake Park Audubon, we aim to educate our students in a positive, supportive and innovative environment, equipping them with the tools and knowledge to succeed in their futures. Our teachers and staff are essential to achieving these goals. As operational costs have risen significantly faster than education funding from the state, our district has struggled to offer competitive compensation for our teachers and staff. Ensuring we have teachers and staff to maintain small class sizes and provide better academic outcomes is vital as our student population is projected to grow 5% in the next five years. Our school district is proud of its school buildings and enjoys sharing them with the community. We will also provide transportation for Pumpkin Fest attendees from the city center to the school. "On Saturday, September 9th, the LPA Raiders Fishing Team took part in the Heart O Lakes Championship. There were 15 schools that participated where each team could pick the lake they wanted to fish. 3 fish from the each of the following species could be scored - bluegill, crappie, walleye, northern pike and bass. A full scorecard would mean 15 fish scored. The league uses a length to point system in a catch, photo and release format. LPA chose to fish Big Cormorant Lake. The student anglers were - Tyson Nerdahl, Colby Poegel, Michael Blahut, Lucas Keizer, Isaac Current, Carson Ullrich, Addison Welter, and Isaac Wachsmuth. Boat captains were - Bernie Poegel, Jon Ullrich and Andy Mjoness. All student anglers, and their captains caught fish to put on the scorecard. The only species that wasn't scored was crappie. Tyson and Lucas had walleyes of 25-3/4" and 23". Isaac Wachsmuth, Addison and Lucas scored the pike, with Isaac and Lucas catching pike at 30" and 30-3/4". Tyson and Michael had smallmouth bass between 17" and 18-1/4". Tyson and Addison scored sunfish between 9-1/4" and 10". With these fish, the team from LPA was able to bring home a 3rd place finish with 49 total points! Great job by the student anglers and captains! Overall we had a great season where we saw 10 teams place in the top 8 over 4 regular events. Aiden Shea also got "Angler of the Year" in the Jr. High division of our pod, which consisted of LPA, Hawley, Barnesville and DGF. Thanks for a great season, Coach Keizer"
