Dear Parents,
In conjunction with the Thanksgiving Holiday break, next Wednesday is an early out. There will be only one afternoon bus route on this day. Dismissal is 1:15 from the elementary school and 1:30 from the high school. Thank you and have an enjoyable Thanksgiving.
Dr. Godfrey

Dear Community Member,
Our open gym at Lake Park High School has been a success, and we want to add another open gym at our Audubon Elementary School. We would need some parents to donate their time 1-2 times a month on Sundays from 4-6 pm to accomplish this. If you are interested in volunteering for this project, please reach out to me. Rhowery@lpa.k12.mn.us
Sincerely,
Rozalyn Howery

Good morning, LPA community members!
As our LPA students continue to deliver fun-filled, action-packed events for the community, please remember to respect the priority parking spaces that members of our community purchased.
These spaces are *reserved* for only those individuals (or their designees) whose names are listed on the signs AND who display the matching parking permit on their rearview mirror when using the parking space. The 2023-2024 signs are on their way, but our NHS members have created temporary signs for the interim, each listing the appropriate names and space numbers.
These spaces are reserved for ALL LPA events, including but not limited to sporting events, musical/theatre productions, band/choir concerts, parent/teacher conferences, Grandparents' Day, muffins in the morning, award nights, etc.
Thank you for your cooperation and for your support of our students.
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Vickmark (mvickmark@lpa.k12.mn.us).

Voters Do Not Approve District Referendum
A majority of voters in the Lake Park Audubon School District rejected the district’s proposed plan to increase its operating levy to support salaries and wages for teachers and staff.
Voters rejected the referendum a total of 519 no votes (56.41%) to 401 yes votes (43.59%). All voting results are unofficial.
Over the past eight years, more than 40 teachers and 60 support staff have left the school district, often citing lower pay than nearby districts. At a time when the student population is growing, the school district has made staff recruitment and retention a top priority as it will help maintain small class sizes and enhance educational programming.
"While we are disappointed in this outcome, we respect the voters’ decision," said Superintendent Tim Godfrey. “We will work with our school board to determine the best path forward to invest in our teachers and support staff.”
Questions can be directed to Superintendent Tim Godfrey at 218-325-0574 or tgodfrey@lpa.k12.mn.us.
