Join Mr. Bakke's Speech team
The robotics team is hard at work and Mr. K implemented an award system (weekly and end-of-season) for a couple of things.
The first is an endurance award: these students have been to every meeting during the week (all 5 days a week) and a stand-out award, for one student who maybe solved a problem that has been giving us a tough time or came up with a great idea that we are implementing.
This week, we have the following award winners:
-Tip of the Spear award: Riley Malvick
Riley solved the problem of our robot's wireless communication, which has been giving us problems all week. He took it upon himself to figure it out. He also came up with and implemented a funding idea that we will be presenting soon! Further, his willingness to teach less experienced team members has proven that he is a team player!

We are thrilled to invite you to our 2023 Holiday Concert, "Wreath of Carols", presented by the Lake Park Audubon Music Department!
The concert will take place on Thursday, December 7th at the LPA High School Theatre. There are two times available for you to enjoy the concert, either at 1:45 pm or 7:00 pm.
But wait, there's more! After the afternoon concert, we will have a reception where you can mingle, and enjoy some Cookies & Cider. It's going to be a great time and we hope you can make it!

On Wednesday the 29th, Ms. Moller brought a few students to the Plains Art Museum for the afternoon where they viewed Oscar Howe's work. The students also got to paint a non-objective painting with the practice of value scales and Color theory directed by Museum educators.
Calling all Volleyball players!
Addison Welter and Jaden Klindt are 8th graders, and they are in a philanthropy class. They are making DIY dog toys, and they are looking for donations. They will be donating them to the local animal shelters. Please help these girls out!

The last two showings of the musical, "Haphazardly Ever After", are today, Saturday the 17th at 2 pm and 7 pm. Tickets will be available at the door! Come see how the King and Queen try to get their stubborn adult children to leave the nest!
Happy Haphazardly Ever After Weekend! The Musical premieres tonight, with two more shows on Saturday.
Lake Park Floral and the Lake Park Betterment Association will sell flowers at three performances. Carnations for $3, single roses for $5, and rainbow and purple metallic roses for $7/steam.
