It was Mrs. Capouch's 8th-grade leadership class who thought of "cookies for kindness." She talked to our FACS teacher, Ms. Anderson, and asked if her classes could make as many cookies as possible if all of her students supplied the ingredients. The kids in her FACS class made chocolate chip cookies for two days. The kids in leadership class gave them out to people in the neighborhood yesterday and today. What tremendous teamwork and kindness our LPA kids and instructors demonstrated!

October High School Lunch Menu..Stay tuned for the Elementary Menu.

Some class highlights from a few classes of Mrs. Capouch. Her 8th grade leadership has been working hard helping bring tools and equipment into the new edition of shop class. They have also helped bring large items out of the school that needed to be thrown and have picked up trash around all the school grounds! The janitors are loving it! And After a week of a golf unit her advanced PE class, the students got to take their skills to Green Valley Golf course! It was a beautiful fall day and they had a lot of fun! Great Job Raiders!

Don't fall for it! Picture Day at the High School is October 3rd. Order forms will be sent home this week.

Two days remain until our Open House Night. Let's begin by introducing our Middle/High School Staff. The following faces will be both unfamiliar and familiar to you. We are thrilled to have all of our middle school staff and classrooms in close proximity and to be developing a new "middle school model" for our seventh- and eighth-graders. Give these wonderful teachers a warm welcome; we are fortunate to have them here!

The Lake Park Betterment Association and the Cormorant Sportsman's Club had a party in the park last night, and our high school fall sports teams showed up to celebrate. The All Star Cheer Academy performed, there was a watermelon eating contest, and there were games, relay races, and amazing food. Our "LITTLE RAIDERS" adore getting to know our "BIG RAIDERS," so this community event has quickly become a fan favorite.
