Grant Winner

Exciting news! The Minnesota Agricultural Education Leadership Council (MAELC) has granted a grant to our New Ag instructor, Janelle Hueners, and the LPA School District.

The purpose of this project is to launch the Lake Park Audubon Ag Food and Natural Resources (AFNR) program with excitement and enthusiasm. This request serves to update the shop area currently in the school and implement new topics such as animal science, plant science, ag technology, and ag leadership. These new courses aim to guide students into high-wage high-demand careers related to agriculture and trades industries. These courses also aim to strengthen connections with community partners such as the Lake Park Audubon Elementary School, TEAM Industries, and BTD Metal Manufacturing. Items to be purchased with the grant range from lab equipment, FFA materials, updated tools, and even robotic swine litter simulators and a hydroponic tower.

Thank you Miss Hueners, We appreciate all your efforts and commitment.
