§ Winter sports photos will be today after school at the High School.

§ Don't forget to get your yearbook ordered. Only 6 more weeks of sales! Order forms are outside of Mrs. Minske's classroom or order online at Cost is $48.31 if paying by check ($45+tax)

§ Cross Country: sign up to work concessions on December 17th. Sign up is outside of Mrs. Minske's classroom

§ Seniors: an email was sent regarding Senior Quotes. Please get your quotes to Mrs. Minske no later than December 15th . Remember they must be famous literary or published motivational quotes only. No political or racial quotes will be accepted. If deemed not acceptable, it will not be published in the yearbook. Examples of positive choices were noted in the email.

§ The LPA PaY Chapter will be taking donations for both Kids and Pets, to donate to area nonprofit groups in the area for the holiday season. Supplies needed for animals would include collars, toys, treats, food, and clothes. Supplies for kids would include new or gently used books and toys, also new gloves, hats, art supplies, activity books, etc. We will be taking donations starting Monday December 9th thru Thursday December 19th. Please drop the items off in Mr. Kirkwood's room.

§ Softball Players- December 12th and 19th there will be a pitching coach coming in to work with the pitchers and catchers. She has played and coached at the college level including coaching at NDSU. All girls interested in softball are welcome to come and watch and learn. We encourage all of you to come. It should be a fun time and a great time to learn more about softball. This will run from 6:00 to 7:30 each night.

§ 9th Graders: We need volunteers to help with concessions in Lake Park this Saturday, starting at 5:30 p.m. Please see Whitney M., Sam B. or Ms. Kimball to sign up. Thank you!

§ Lake Region Arts Council’s Arts Mentorship Program provides scholarships to a limited number of students, currently in grades 9-11. The program offers students the opportunity for study with a professional in their chosen field (e.g. music, visual arts, creative writing, media arts, architecture, theater, costume design, dance, etc.) during the summer months. Each scholarship, valued at $600, is awarded based on student commitment and potential for artistic development—no formal training is required. Applications are available online: The application can be seen outside of Mrs. Minske's room. But applying needs to be done online!!

§ Calling all students!!! There will be two speech meetings Wednesday, December 11th and Thursday, December 12th at 3:30 in Room 204. Both these meetings are for anyone new interested in joining speech and past participants to look for speeches. Please sign up for the meeting with Sherri Lefebvre.

§ Seniors, MSHSL Triple A Awards to recognize and honor high school seniors who have excelled in the classroom, on the athletic field, and in the fine arts. Applications may be downloaded on the MSHSL website. Submit completed application to Mrs. Merchant by December 16th.

§ Lake Park Audubon High School Music Department presents Senior & Junior High Choirs, Raider Pop Group & Soloists 2019 Holiday Concert - Just Hear Those Sleigh Bells Ring! On December 9, Monday 1:45pm & 7:30pm. All are invited to attend.

LPA Raiders take 1st place

LPA Raiders take 1st place at the 2019 Northern Minnesota Math Contest out of 29 Senior Division A teams. Taking top honors for the raiders are Jingtian(Oliver) Xue taking 4th place and Morgan Kruger taking 7th place out of 331 students. In the Junior Division, our team took 13th out of 26 teams.
