New Year

We were appreciative and grateful to see a full house during all the music concerts prior to Winter Break. Our 5th grade band students started things off, followed by concerts from our preschool, kindergarten, and 1st-6th grade students. It was great to see the kids showcase their talents for loved ones in house (and streaming). Although the weather outside was frightful, with some slight scheduling adjustments, the 4th grade capped off the year with delicious, handmade Gingerbread Houses. Our students are fortunate to always have many from our community attend our events, it's one of the many things that make our school special.

As we welcome in a New Year, we will capitalize on the opportunity at school to set personalized goals with your student(s). Our goal is to continue to help your student grow and enjoy coming to school. As a district we are currently drafting a strategic plan based on feedback from stakeholder surveys. This will help us prioritize and focus on creating school environments that reflect your inputs. A draft of this strategic plan was presented at the December School Board meeting. A finalized plan will be shared with families and posted on the school websites in the months to come.

In the coming month you will begin to see masonry work start on the 2 story addition being built onto the school. Foundational work wrapped up over Winter Break, with the focus now being creating the shell of what will contain 9 classrooms for students in kindergarten through 2nd grade next year.
