Celebrate

We are fortunate to have so many reasons to celebrate your students throughout the year. With the start of March we had an opportunity to celebrate your student’s individual growth at parent teacher conferences where once again you set an extremely high bar of family involvement here at LPA with 96% family attendance. The month concluded with opportunities to celebrate our students in 1st-4th Grade during their music concert, where students took us through the decades performing many familiar songs to our audience. Last week our 5th and 6th Grade Band Students demonstrated their talents during an after-school performance. It is always impressive to see the growth they have accomplished as we reflect on their fall performance.

We also had the opportunity to celebrate during the month of March because during grade level meetings our staff members in each grade level get together to reflect on student growth and collectively plan to meet your students where they are at academically. This past month we took time to reflect on our academic norms for students at each grade level over the past 3 years and celebrate that benchmarking proficiency across all grade levels continues to grow as a result of our staffs continued effort to improve our instructional practices.

If you would like a celebration or accomplishment shared over the school’s morning announcements, please email me the relevant information and we would be happy to share.

With the winter storm this week, we are rescheduling Doughnuts for Grownups and our Parent & Student Assembly for Friday, May 5th. We are looking forward to spring coming soon!
