Runners, coaches, and Raider fans are so proud!
We had a great first meet today in Frazee! Our JV and Junior High runners had great times and placed very well. Three of our Varsity boys finished in the Top 10 and our Varsity girls took first place with the top 4 finishers being our girls! Taytum Nelson set the meet record for girls as well! It was great to get out and compete again and so fun to see the runners cheering on and encouraging their teammates. Looking forward to a great season!
Raider Cross Country 2020
We are very excited to have our Cross Country season this fall! It will be great to have practices and compete in meets again. We will be following MDE and MSHSL guidelines during our practices, while traveling to meets, and at our meets.
This season, we anticipate that we will participate in 7 meets. Each meet will be limited to 3 teams and we are working hard to get into meets that were previously on our schedule.
We will begin practice Monday, August 17th at 7:00 am at the high school. Please be on the lookout for schedules and other information that the athletes will bring home that day. A typical practice will run roughly an hour to an hour and a half. We will have morning practice from 7-8 am until school starts. Then we will have practice after school each day. We are usually done with practice around 4:45. We really want to make sure our athletes are picked up by this time each day. Our season will go through October 24th.
With our other fall sports being postponed until the spring, we have the possibility of having a larger team this season. Annie Minske will be my assistant coach again this season, but if we have larger numbers we will be looking into adding another coach to our team.
If you have any questions please feel free to email me and I will get back to you. Looking forward to a great season!
