With an increase in cases of H1N1 occurring every day, the Minnesota Department of Health is working diligently as is the CDC (Center for Disease Control) and the Federal Government to keep the public informed with up to date information on H1N1.  Any information conveyed to you at this website is with the permission of the Minnensota Department of Health.  A link to the website is below.

The MN Department of Health (MDH) has increased surveillance including testing of patients who are being evaluated for influenza-like illness.  Minnesota has not identified a swine influenza case to date.

At this time we recommend that you emphasize basic infection prevention measures.  These measures include:

1) covering your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing

2) washing your hands often with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand rub

3) staying home when you are sick
